Name?
Judith Kerry Young, but I go by Kerry.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Hudson, a small town in Quebec on the Ottawa River, on the land of the St. Lawrence Iroquoians, Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and Mohawk.
What is your favourite food?
My favourite foods tend to be whatever is in season and fresh and local – these days I’m eating a lot of tomatoes.
Describe a perfect Saturday.
A perfect day would be spent outdoors being active with people who I love!
What do you love about your job?
I feel very grateful to be working with Indigenous clients who are seeking proper recognition and justice for historical harms.
What areas of law are you passionate about?
What I love is when the law can protect those who are unrepresented and vulnerable; when it can give a voice to those who aren’t being heard.
